The Mad Plot

I saw a wicked thing last night

it really was disturbing

and then I woke up in a sweat

the nightmare was perturbing.

the characters from in a book

had crept into my head

and banging pots and pans they tried

to scare me out of bed.

They almost succeeded.

Fine Lines and A Wrinkle in Time

Between the Grey Streaks --

the Streakers are Streaking

Not Okay! Says a Man who is Speaking

With a Squeaky Whistle in Hand that is Leaking.

Saliva drips from the tip as the Cop

Jumps on His Bike and Yells, "Stop! Stop! Stop!"

The Naked Man Laughs for he too has a Bike

One with a Motor and a Bright Head Light.

Off he Speeds for "there is no Chance

That a Cop will Make ME wear Under Pants"

He is aerodynamic in his Birthday Suit

With a Cop right behind him in Hot Pursuit.

Just for a Moment, for he's Gone in a Flash

Around the Corner, there's the Sound of a Crash

The Sirens then, and the flashing lights,

and a half hour later, the Cop on a Bike.
