Pillow Prayers

 Pillows holding tears

with gallons over flowing

tiny seas too full to rest

where are the oceans going?

 

If only God could make a pool

and sweep your tears inside

into the depths of blissful sleep

where they'd be left behind.

 

So this I pray beside your bed

as you try not to cry

That God will take away your tears

and keep your pillow dry.
