Inverse Stockholm Syndrome

I just woke from having the most intriguing dream which I intend to base a story on in the future.

In the dream I was a teenager having a sleepover with a friend from school.  I wasn't at her house, instead I was with her and we were staying over at her boyfriend's house.  (Befittingly, the boyfriend looked exactly like Ryan Phillipe, the lead male actor from the movie Cruel Intentions.)

I don't know how long we were there.  In the dream it almost felt like this was a sleepover in a long chain of them, all of which for some reason, ended up being at this boyfriend's house.

The boyfriend's parents were there.  The boyfriend was a young teen naturally and lived with his parents.  In the dream I would estimate he was 16 or 17.  The part that was confusing, is it didn't seem like they were intimately involved.  He treated her more like a sibling, if that.  They didn't seem close at all, and in some ways it was like they barely knew each other. The reason became apparent later on in the dream.

While I was there, I began to notice this boyfriend take a shine to me.  He would linger after his "girlfriend" went out.  We would talk and he didn't seem aware of personal boundaries.  I didn't encourage him, but he seemed willing enough to encourage himself.  I also found, to my annoyance, that try as I might, I was attracted to him and developing a small crush.  He had a softness and an innocence to him.  As he behaved in a manner not strictly appropriate for a "taken" person, yet seemed rather unaware of it.  He seemed to just enjoy my company, like he didn't get enough kindness in his life.  Like a moth attracted to the flame.

In the dream, my friend had to go away for some reason.  I was left alone in the boyfriend's home.  I am not sure where she went, or whether she was commanded or went of her own free will.  During this time, I went out for a while and happened to see the boyfriend's father attempting to lure a woman into the everglades.  Somehow I also knew he had made great efforts to conceal this fact from his wife, who he'd made specific arrangements to have elsewhere.

When I returned to their home later on, I was wary.  I went to the boyfriends room, or what I thought was his room, and discovered all traces of humanity, including my friend, had been cleared away and only the simplest of items remained.  Cot, blanket etc.  I immediately suspected trickery and got out of that room before someone could lock me in.  Although now that I look back, I'm almost certain I saw my friend's boyfriend nearby, as if he were lying in wait, or perhaps he was deliberating on what to do.  In any case, I escaped before he locked me in, or because he chose not to lock me in. Afterwards I encountered the boyfriend's father out in the main room, where we battled to the death and I won.  I beat him to death with a screwdriver.

After this, I basically made demands, that the room be returned to its former state.  This was done.  Without the vicious father about, the mother and son seemed rather placid and ready willing to behave as all other people do.  My girlfriend though never reappeared in the dream.  Presumably, me and the boyfriend became an item and got years of heavy counseling to overcome the trauma of the experience and find a way to live normal lives.
